Kamil`s formal training includes three years as a voice major at the University of Central Arkansas. Kamil has performed with such entertainers as Steven Segal, The Beach Boys, Fats Domino, and John Stamos. In November of 1994, she defeated the reigning champion on "Showtime at the Apollo". She was honored at the Sammy Davis Jr. Awards in Houston, Texas for Best Female Pop Vocalist and has opened up for such entertainers as: Willie Nelson, Kenny Rogers, Boney James, 112, Jesse Powell, Chante` Moore and The Pointer Sisters. She has also had the privilege to sing with the late great jazz singer, Betty Carter as well as the legendary Ray Charles.
